About the Role: As a Quality Auditor here at Accord, you will drive operational efficience and reduce erros by auditing case management records to ensure proper an compliant record keeping. You will perform quality audits on service records, analyze data & trends, and document your results.
Job Location: St. Paul, MN - hybrid
Essential Responsibilities:
- Listen-Learn-Lead: Model the mission and values of Accord, helping people to live their greatest lives.
- Audit service records, including service plans, budget allocations, and service authorizations to evaluate whether information is recorded accurately, is reflective of person-first language and person-centered goals, and there is no duplication of services.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of Accord policies and procedures, rules and regulations of the State of Minnesota, and requirements of contracted providers to the audit process.
- Conduct quality audits across the department; seek areas for improvement, identify issues and trends, and create action plans to correct problem areas.
- Analyze data to identify trends or patterns of incomplete or missing information, inconsistencies or inaccuracies with documentation, or needed areas of improvement.
- Communicate audit findings to department leaders; collaborate with others to develop plans to address any issues or errors present.
- Document billable audit services in the electronic health record/database system within 1 business day.
- Meet or exceed minimum billing standards.
- As a mandated reporter, respond and report all incidents that occur while providing services to protect the health and safety of and minimize risk of harm to the person(s) served.
- Be forward thinking; identify and propose opportunities to improve the case management program and audit process.
- Serve as a representative of the agency to the people we serve, our community partners and external constituents. Be a positive role model for other employees.
- Complete and document all required training relevant to the position to increase knowledge and stay current with changes.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills/abilities.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- This position is opn to current Accord employees only - you must be an active employee in good standing.
- BA/BS in Human Service field with one year of experience in a case management role required. If you hold a Social Work degree, we expect you to be licensed by the Minnesota Board of Social Work, as required.
- Knowledge of human service programs and practices with at least one year of case management experience and quality improvement initiatives required.
- Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret documents.
- Ability to document in a neat, legible, accurate, and objective manner.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from program staff and leadership.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to be used as needed for work related functions.
