This opening will mark the resurgence of luxury nightlife experiences in New York with dynamic food and beverage venues and programming that will make Faena the ultimate destination for the sophisticated traveler to New York.

Job Description

The Overnight Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations during the overnight shift, ensuring public areas, guest rooms, and service spaces are maintained to Faena’s luxury standards. This role leads the overnight housekeeping team, coordinates with Security and Engineering, and ensures readiness for the next day’s operation.

This position has an annual compensation of $95,000.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise overnight housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Perform quality control inspections and ensure cleanliness standards are upheld in all assigned areas.
  • Respond promptly to guest service requests and oversee housekeeping-related service recovery.
  • Support the night turnover process, ensuring room readiness for early arrivals and VIP guests.
  • Monitor linen and amenity par levels, reporting discrepancies or shortages to day leadership.
  • Liaise with Front Office and Engineering on room status changes, maintenance requests, and overnight service coordination.
  • Maintain accurate records including room status reports, pass-on logs, and service issue tracking.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation procedures including DOH and OSHA compliance.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to overnight team members and report any employee relations concerns.
  • Support property-wide deep cleaning initiatives, project work, and seasonal upkeep.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Prior overnight shift management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of luxury service presentation, deep cleaning techniques, and housekeeping operations.
  • Familiarity with PMS (Opera) and housekeeping software (HotSOS, Knowcross, etc.).
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English).
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOH, and NYC sanitation regulations.

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage team performance independently.
  • Strong time management and multitasking under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and conflict resolution skills.\
  • Capable of motivating staff during low-supervision shifts.
  • Commitment to cleanliness, luxury presentation, and guest satisfaction.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
  • Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces
  • Remain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift
  • Medium Work: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
