What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join team at The Fort Apartments, a 224-unit community located in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Maintenance Supervisor at Ackermann Group, you will be responsible for:

  • Trouble-shooting resident service issues including, HVAC, general appliance work, electrical, plumbing, etc. 
  • Responding to maintenance work orders, following up with residents and office staff, and directing/overseeing the work of independent contractors and vendors 
  • Ensuring the completion of all market-ready apartments, emergency and non-emergency service requests, various maintenance activities, and community inspections 
  • Ordering, stocking, and organizing an inventory of parts, supplies, and materials 
  • Assisting the Property Manager with interviewing and hiring for the maintenance team as well as monitoring the work progress of current maintenance team members and providing assistance and instruction as needed 

 

The ideal Maintenance Supervisor will have:

  • 3 or more years of related experience that demonstrates a broad knowledge of general maintenance – Supervisory experience is required. 
  • EPA Type I & II Certification required
  • CPO certification preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Office products 
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude
  • A valid driver’s license with proof of insurance and reliable method of transportation 
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability to work full-time: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm with emergency on-call rotation as designated by the Property Manager
