Job Overview:
We are seeking a Marketing Compliance Officer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring all marketing activities align with regulatory and internal compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in marketing compliance, demonstrating strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments and external partnerships. This role will involve monitoring marketing campaigns, partnerships, and affiliate activities to safeguard compliance and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Compliance Oversight:
- Review and approve marketing materials to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Conduct compliance audits on marketing campaigns, advertisements, and communications.
- Provide feedback and guidance to marketing teams to address potential compliance issues.
- Affiliate and Partnership Monitoring:
- Evaluate and monitor marketing activities conducted by affiliates and partners to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory standards.
- Perform risk assessments for new and existing affiliates/partners and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and implement a compliance framework for monitoring partner and affiliate activities.
- Policy Development and Training:
- Assist in creating and updating marketing compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct training sessions for internal teams, affiliates, and partners to ensure awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.
- Regulatory Monitoring and Reporting:
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting marketing compliance.
- Report and document any identified compliance issues, working collaboratively with legal and marketing teams to resolve them.
- Liaise with auditors, as necessary, to address compliance inquiries and audits.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with marketing, legal, central compliance department and other cross-functional teams to ensure compliance is embedded in the marketing strategy.
- Provide clear and actionable compliance insights to support decision-making.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marketing compliance, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of applicable marketing regulations, industry standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in monitoring and managing affiliate and partnership compliance programs.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Law, or a related field (preferred).
- Certification in compliance or related areas (advanced cysec certificate) is a plus.
