Job Description

Are you ready to take on an exciting new challenge? We're looking for a dynamic Project Manager for a 12-month fixed-term role to support the AFCA Project and Change Management office. You'll collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive impactful project outcomes and ensure each project meets its goals and delivers the expected benefits.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate: Work with internal stakeholders to plan, define, and implement project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in line with the AFCA project management framework.
  • Governance: Manage ongoing governance arrangements and formal reporting on project progress.
  • Planning: Develop project plans, costing, resource plans, and relevant documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Undertake quality assurance activities to ensure project standards are met.
  • Milestone Management: Be accountable for delivering key project milestones, ensuring alignment with agreed scope and outcomes.
  • Risk Management: Conduct project risk analysis and regularly review risk mitigation plans.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the project budget, ensuring accurate tracking and financial allocation.
  • Reporting: Maintain robust reporting to internal and external stakeholders, clearly defining and articulating current status, risks, and issues.

Qualifications

About You: To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated project management experience in delivering business improvement initiatives or medium to large-scale projects within the financial sector or government agencies.
  • Transformation Experience: Proven experience in business transformations, developing data analytics or intelligence capabilities.
  • Leadership: Experience working with business leaders to implement successful business transformation and change plans.
  • Project Management Skills: Proficiency in applying project and change management techniques and tools.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities with a track record of identifying, assessing, and implementing solutions.
