Job Description

AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Full & Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Manhattan ICF residence.

DATE & TIME: TUESDAY FEBRUARY 18TH from 10AM-1PM

LOCATION: Recruiter will provide specific address for qualified candidates.

POSITIONS TO BE FILLED:

40HR Evening shifts - 2pm-10pm...Drivers license Required

30 & 40HR Overnight shifts - 10pm-8am.....Drivers license NOT Required

PAY RATE: $18.54 - $18.90 per hour depending on position and driving status. Plus a very comprehensive Benefit package which includes FREE MEDICAL INSURANCE! See below for additional Benefit information.

Weekend availability needed for most positions!

  • The oversight of all safety and health considerations
  • Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
  • Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
  • Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.

Qualifications

  • Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
  • Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
  • Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
  • Ability to use a computer for data entry.
  • High school education/GED, highly preferred.
