AHRC New York City is seeking a Gardening Instructor to lead seasonal gardening and composting sessions at our Bronx-based programs. This hands-on role involves teaching small groups of 5–8 adults with intellectual disabilities, basic composting and gardening skills—from preparing soil and planting seeds to maintaining and harvesting the garden, as well as preparing it for winter.
Sessions will take place across multiple Bronx locations, with different groups participating each day. The educator will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging, accessible instruction tailored to participants’ needs and abilities.
Salary: $25/hour,
Schedule: 4 hours per day.... 3–5 days per week
This position is a Seasonal position through September.
