AHRC NYC is seeking young adults to join their Advance & Earn (A&E) Direct Support Professional program. The A&E program is a PAID Internship Program for NYC Youths (18-24) who are looking to become Direct Support Professionals. This Paid Internship program prepares NYC youth for a rewarding career as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), who provide vital assistance and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Classroom learning held in Staten Island at 25 Victory Blvd, 3rd Floor
Internships are available in all 5 boroughs.
PROGRAM PROVIDES:
● 20 weeks of high-level training with mentorship from industry leaders.
● Paid Internships at $16 per hour for up to 250 hours, in one of the top Non-Profit agencies in the field
● Nationally Recognized Certification from the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals
● Daily lunch and MetroCard
● Assistance in accessing necessary services and benefits
● Job placement assistance
● In-person, small group sessions with individualized attention
● Counseling and social/emotional support

Pay Rate: $16 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 15 – 25 hours per week
