**On-site Requirements: Hybrid, 3 days per week in our Andover, MA office**
The Senior Contracts Specialist will work with Account Managers across the company to facilitate contracts and agreements with our commercial, federal, and government teams. This person will report to the Senior Director of Billing & Client Services and will regularly interact and heavily collaborate with Account Managers, Client Services personnel, and Government Contracts personnel.
Day-to-day:
Proposal Preparation and Negotiation (Pre-Contract)
- Review, analyze, and understand customer Requests for Proposal/Quotes (RFPs/RFQs),
Statements of Work (SOW), and contract requirements.
- Advise the Contracts team and Account Managers on contractual terms and conditions as well
as risk identification/mitigation strategies.
- Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer requirements, prepare
proposal submittal documents, and coordinate/complete appropriate levels of internal review and approval.
- Support the development of negotiation strategy through collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Negotiate terms and conditions, cost/price/fee, and other requirements.
- Manage proposal fact-finding and negotiations between client and ALKU.
During Contract Term
- Work with program, client, and internal stakeholders to closely monitor contract funding, payments, and changes.
- Maintain and update contract files and records.
- Draft and submit correspondence, requests, and notifications to clients.
- Research contract issues to analyze and recommend solutions.
- Review various agreements including non-disclosures (NDAs), teaming agreements (TAs),
sub-contracts (SubKs), Task Orders (TOs), etc.
Post Contract
- Initiate and complete actions related to contract closeout.
- Run status meetings with internal stakeholders.
- Perform subcontract closeout actions, complete file documentation, and transfer files
accordingly.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in the contracts department at a government prime or sub-contractor.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Management experience: Hiring, training, and developing employees
- System implementation (contracts software)
- Communicates effectively, both verbally and written
- Excellent Organization and follow through skills
- Willingness and desire for continuous improvement
- Excellent time management
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
Experience level: 3-5 Years
Travel Requirements: Occasional team visits to Herndon, VA
