Job Summary:
The Distributor Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that Brand Partners and Independent Distributors adhere to the company’s policies, procedures, and ethical business practices. This role will investigate potential policy violations, provide guidance on compliance matters, and help maintain the integrity of the company’s direct selling model. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong communication skills, and is experienced in compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs within the direct selling or network marketing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Compliance & Enforcement:
- Monitor distributor activities, including social media, websites, and marketing materials, to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Investigate and assess potential violations, including unauthorized claims, cross-recruiting, and brand misrepresentation.
- Enforce compliance policies by issuing warnings, corrective action plans, and suspensions when necessary.
- Work closely with the legal team to handle escalated compliance issues and policy enforcement.
Distributor Support & Education:
- Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from distributors and company leadership.
- Educate distributors on compliance best practices, policies, and procedures through training materials, webinars, and direct consultations.
- Assist in the development of compliance resources, FAQs, and policy manuals to promote awareness.
Investigation & Reporting:
- Conduct thorough investigations into compliance violations, gather evidence, and document findings.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance cases and ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare reports and summaries on compliance trends and issues for management review.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to align compliance initiatives with company objectives.
- Work with IT to monitor and manage distributor access, system controls, and enforcement measures.
- Assist in reviewing distributor agreements, policies, and procedures to ensure legal alignment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Degree in Business, Legal Studies, Compliance, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years of compliance, legal, or regulatory experience, preferably within the direct selling or network marketing industry.
- Strong understanding of direct selling regulations, FTC guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities to address compliance concerns effectively.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, compliance monitoring tools, and CRM platforms.
