Inventory/Purchasing/Receiving Agent

Amitron is looking for a dedicated Inventory/Purchasing/Receiving Agent to enhance our operations and ensure seamless supply chain management. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, placing orders, and overseeing the receipt of materials to maintain optimal stock levels. The Inventory Agent will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to coordinate purchasing activities while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that materials are available for production needs.
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms to achieve cost efficiency.
  • Oversee the receiving process, including inspecting delivered goods for quality and accuracy.
  • Update inventory management systems and maintain accurate records of orders and receipts.
  • Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to assess material requirements and reorder points.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to inventory quantities, quality issues, and supplier performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized storage area to facilitate efficient inventory management.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in supply chain management or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Inventory, Purchasing, or Receiving Agent in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle inventory tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items, as necessary, and stand for extended periods.
