We are seeking an experienced candidate to support a national-level client in a mission-focused environment. This role is part of a high-impact studies and evaluations group that informs policy and resource decisions at the most senior levels of the U.S. Government. The analyst will plan and execute studies using both quantitative and qualitative methods and develop decision-support materials, including long-form reports and executive briefings.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of formal studies, including developing Terms of Reference, gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and presenting findings.
- Conduct literature reviews, design and administer surveys, and extract data from various sources to support policy and strategy development.
- Apply statistical, operational research, and qualitative analysis techniques to assess effectiveness, costs, and requirements.
- Develop well-supported alternatives and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Prepare executive-level decision analytics, reports, and briefings.
Basic Requirements:
- 12+ years of relevant experience in policy analysis, strategic planning, or intelligence-related studies.
- Strong background in data collection, normalization, and analysis, using tools such as Excel and Tableau.
- Experience with survey design, administration, and analysis.
- Ability to apply quantitative and qualitative research methods, including statistical analysis and structured analytic techniques.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience producing high-level decision papers and briefings.
- Ability to work with ill-structured or unstructured problems across various domains.
- Bachelor’s degree required (STEM field preferred); Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- 5+ years experience working with the Intelligence Community
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of intelligence collection disciplines and methods.
- Familiarity with policy analysis and national security decision-making processes.
