ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a People Operations Assistant to provide administrative support and assist with the daily operations of the People Team (Human Resources). This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to learn more about HR processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized and detailed oriented. As a people operations assistant, you  will perform a variety of administrative tasks and support our People team in activities such as maintaining employee records, coordinating recruitment, and more.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact, coordinating events, and optimizing systems and procedures. If you have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a knack for problem-solving, we would love to hear from you. This is an in-person full time  role, reporting to our corporate office Monday-Friday.

ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Reports to Senior People Operations Manager
  • Serve as the initial contact for employee inquiries and direct them to the appropriate team members.
  • Assist with daily HR operations and provide clerical support to the People Operations team, including document scanning and managing email correspondence.
  • Compile and update employee records in digital and physical formats.
  • Process documents and prepare reports related to staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, and evaluations.
  • Coordinate HR projects, organize meetings and training sessions, and take minutes.
  • Address employee inquiries about HR policies and assist with payroll preparation.
  • Support areas such as compliance, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Develop standardized email templates for various HR communications.
  • Conduct audits on personal files and verify employee information accuracy.
  • Organize employee data in the HRIS and develop onboarding/offboarding templates.
  • Manage the HR calendar for key dates and maintain confidentiality.
  • Assist with event planning and logistics while collaborating on team-building activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including supporting special projects.

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Preferred  1 year of experience in an administrative role, preferably in the hospitality industry. But not required
  • Proficient in G-Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

COMPENSATION The yearly salary rate for this position will range from $50,000-$60,000
