The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the movement of material into and out of the facility. This may include loading/unloading of trailers, movement of raw/finished materials, work in process, and shipping finished goods. This role will be C Shift, 11:00pm - 7:00am, M-F.
Starting hourly rate: $24.79/hr plus $2/hr shift differential
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Activities and duties may vary depending upon specific needs. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
Move material to raw, WIP, Finished, Shipping, Receiving, and manufacturing areas.
Unload/load trucks/tankers with incoming/outgoing materials. - Verify materials against receiving/shipping documents.
Complete appropriate transactions to document the movement of material within the Inventory Management System.
Support inventory accuracy:
Complete warehouse and rack inventories.
Help manage department cycle counts and correct discrepancies.
Working on the dock supporting the high volume of inbound and outbound.
Process outbound shipments and verify proper quantities of pallets.
Coordinate with the team what materials need to be loaded and when to meet dispatch cut times.
Communication with the Finishing Team on orders needed to meet dispatch time requirements.
Support the 5-S, housekeeping, and recycling programs.
Help reduce manufacturing waste and process complexity.
Support the site “0 is Achievable” goal.
Support communication/relationship with the Finishing and Shipping/Receiving teams.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational and customer service skills.
Have general working knowledge and be able to work with computers and programs (Oracle, Telnet, OTM, Google Docs, Lotus Notes).
Positive past performance reviews desired.
Must regard safety as a core value; must adherence to safety practices, policies and procedures.
Must be able to actively contribute in a team based environment, encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal.
Must have a service and quality focus, be able to address issues effectively when problems arise, and take initiative to understand root cause.
Must have demonstrated a record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus.
Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.
Time Management skills and ability to work independently.
Must have a valid fork-lift license.

3-5 years of experience in manufacturing in a similar production environment.
Strong Oracle usage and understanding.
Track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Management and Time Management skills.
Track record of implementing Lean manufacturing processes
