Social Media Manager Intern

About the Role:

Axetech Africa is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Manager Intern to join our dynamic marketing team. In this role, you will assist in developing and executing our social media strategy, engaging with our audience across multiple platforms, and promoting our brand presence online. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in social media management and digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Curation:

• Generate engaging, relevant, and creative content for multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Curate user-generated content and industry-related articles to share within our community.
• Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing graphics and videos to enhance our social media posts.

Community Engagement:

• Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions from followers across all social media channels.
• Engage with our audience through contests, polls, and interactive content to foster community growth.
• Identify and connect with influencers and brand advocates to enhance online engagement.

Strategy Development:

• Assist in the development and execution of social media campaigns that align with our marketing strategy.
• Conduct competitor analysis and research trending topics to shape our social media content strategy.

Analytics & Reporting:

• Track social media metrics and performance using analytical tools to measure outreach and engagement.
• Prepare regular reports summarizing campaign performance, insights, and recommendations for future strategies.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the marketing team on cross-channel initiatives and branding efforts.
• Collaborate with the content and SEO teams to ensure social media posts are optimized for visibility.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design tools like Canva, Photoshop, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of social media analytics tools and performance tracking.

Soft Skills:

• Creativity: Strong creative mindset to engage audiences and tell compelling stories.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across various functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with social media management tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
