Location: Marietta, GA

Type: Full-time, In-Office 5 days a week

 

Summary:

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join the team at B2 Constructors. This role is critical to our success, as you’ll be overseeing commercial construction projects from planning through completion. You'll play a key role in making sure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with our high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Management:

  • Lead from the Start: Develop detailed project plans that cover scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
  • On-Time Delivery: Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring they stay on track and within budget.
  • Problem Solver: Address issues that arise, troubleshoot, and find solutions to keep things moving smoothly.
  • Client Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
  • Flexible Planning: With varying projects, travel may be required, so flexibility is key to success in this role.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor & Lead: Oversee and mentor project teams, including project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Collaborative Environment: Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages growth and innovation.
  • Task Delegation: Delegate tasks effectively to make sure everyone is working toward the same goal.

Quality Control & Safety:

  • Attention to Detail: Ensure construction activities meet high-quality standards and project specifications.
  • Regular Site Inspections: Conduct routine inspections and audits to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Safety First: Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Risk Management & Budgeting:

  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to minimize them.
  • Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control.
  • Cost Management: Approve and process change orders while ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Stakeholder Updates: Provide regular updates to clients, senior management, and stakeholders to keep everyone informed.

Who We're Looking For:

We’re seeking someone with at least 7+ years of commercial construction management experience. The ideal candidate has managed large-scale projects across various sectors, including restaurants, industrial, healthcare, and government.

You’ll Also Need:

  • Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera P6 for project scheduling.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Leadership skills: You should be comfortable leading teams and making decisions.
  • Problem-solving skills: Able to troubleshoot and find solutions on the go.
  • Financial savvy: Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Tech-savvy: Familiar with BIM, Procore, and other construction technologies.
  • Willingness to Travel: You’ll be visiting job sites as needed, so having a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is essential.

Preferred but Not Required:

  • PMP or CCM certification.
  • Mechanical project management experience.
  • Private sector project experience.
  • OSHA 30 certification within the last five years.
  • Proficiency in takeoff and estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, FastPipe, Bluebeam, PlanSwift).
