Phone Sales Representative

The Position

As our Phone Sales Representative, you’ll be the first point of interaction for most of our customers —and we want that experience to be helpful, friendly, and simple. You’ll help callers place deliveries and special orders, answer questions about our products and services, and walk them through things like recycling compliance or shipping materials outside of our usual delivery zones. This role is part sales, part customer service, and a big part problem-solving. You’ll need to juggle multiple computer screens, phone calls, and orders while keeping the customer experience front and center.

• Answer incoming calls with a positive, professional tone—and make sure every customer feels taken care of.
• Walk customers through their orders, helping them select the right products and scheduling deliveries or special orders.
• Use our point-of-sale software (BizTrack) to enter orders, take payments, and have a strong attention to detail to make sure everything is accurate.
• Help customers figure out how much product they need (don’t worry—we’ll train you to do the math).
• Answer questions about our recycling and hauling services, including debris box rentals and Green Halo compliance.
• Fulfill & Process online and phone orders, including packaging inventory that is being shipped out via UPS, and coordinating package pickup.
• Keep your workspace clean and organized, and lend a hand with general housekeeping around the office.
• Stay on top of product availability and let your supervisor know when we’re running low on anything.
• Follow our safety guidelines and speak up if you see something that’s not safe or doesn’t look right.
• Jump in to support your team and tackle other tasks as needed.

• At least 18 and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• You’re a great communicator—both on the phone through written communication—and you genuinely enjoy helping people.
• Proficient with computers, and basic software applications (such as our point-of-sale software)
• Proficient with basic math calculations, and comfortable converting between units of measure, as well as calculating volume, area, and other product-related measurements.
• Detail-oriented and reliable—you double-check your work and show up on time, every time.
• Self-motivated and can take initiative without needing constant direction.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and are okay with being on your feet when needed.
• Works well in a fast-paced team environment and can switch gears easily, while still delivering top-notch service
