Innovation & Execution Clinical Lead

Who we are:

At Better Life Partners, we provide what it takes to heal from addiction. Wherever. Whenever.

We work alongside community-based organizations to meet our members where they are, no matter what recovery looks like to them. By combining virtual and in-person counseling, community support, and access to life-saving medication, we help people move beyond addiction to find belonging, love, and purpose.

If you’re looking to roll up your sleeves and meet hard challenges head-on, then we’re looking for you.

The role:

In this role, you will partner with organizational leadership to identify opportunities for improvement, design and test innovative solutions, and manage all aspects of solution implementation. This is a dynamic and influential position, and the ideal candidate will be a driven healthcare professional who is passionate about transforming the healthcare industry, skilled at using data to drive decision-making, and adept at iterating and diving into the details so we are positioned to achieve our vision.

Unless otherwise specified, this position is remote (work from home) with expectation of attending team meetings quarterly. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Connecticut.

What you will do:
  • Innovation Strategy and Planning: Collaborate cross-functionally to understand needs, opportunities and ideas from the business and our members. Use this understanding to generate new ideas and solutions and use data towards improvement and net new initiatives to support the strategic vision and mission of the organization.
  • Test, Iterate and Scale Projects: Lead the design, test, iteration and scale of multiple projects from initiation to launch, managing competing priorities and deadlines. Design rapid tests of a manual nature to learn and iterate prior to scale. Rely on data to drive decision-making, influence others (including senior leadership) and achieve OKRs
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly collaborate and lead workgroups with internal stakeholders to drive projects forward
  • Evaluation and Performance: Take a data-driven approach to conduct project evaluations measuring impact, gathering feedback, and identifying areas for further improvement. Utilize insights to optimize processes, enhance efficiencies, and drive continuous improvement and innovation

You are a good fit if you have:
  • A Master’s degree in a related field (e.g. Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, etc.). A Bachelor’s degree in a related field with substantial related experience will be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree
  • Experience working in healthcare is required, ideally as a healthcare provider (ie, nurse, counselor or medical assistant)
  • 4+ years of experience in roles such as process improvement, healthcare operations, consulting, and/or service design
  • Ability to excel in environments where the work can be ambiguous and complicated
  • Proven experience leading large scale or multi-disciplinary projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, using influence instead of authority to drive collaboration with stakeholders
  • Experience with basic data analysis using Google Sheets or Excel (ie, VLookup, Pivot Tables, etc)
  • Balance of being a strategic & creative problem-solver with diving deep into processes, technical issues, and other details to gain a deeper understanding
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task with agility and ease to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience with iterative, pilot-driven implementations
  • A team player with an “all hands on deck” positive attitude
  • Desire to work in a rapidly evolving and growing company

It will also be great if you have:
  • Prior experience in a high growth / start-up environment
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Experience working with people who struggle with addiction, trauma, mental health issues, poverty, and/or the criminal justice system
  • Experience working in a care setting: community embedded, low barrier, outside of traditional health care, co-located, streets, encampments, mobile

Work location requirements:
  • BLP operates in hybrid and remote work environments, which allows us to better meet our members and partners where they’re located. Candidates applying for this role must be willing and able to travel locally within the communities we serve and/or travel to onsite meetings as expected in coordination with their department and business needs.

When working from home, the requirements include:
  • Must have reliable internet service with a fast upload/download ability
  • Ability to ensure any protected health or proprietary data/information is not visible (or audible) to others in any work location
  • Must have a quiet space to speak to members, team members, or external partners with minimal background noise and distractions

$119,000 - $140,000 a year
The actual compensation offered within the range, along with title and level, will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, business requirements, and performance expectations. All full-time BLPeeps are also eligible for equity in the form of stock options to be invested in BLP’s growth and success!

In addition to a competitive compensation package, we’re offering the chance to be the change you wish to see in your community. Help us work toward a future where everyone can have a healthy life filled with belonging, love, and purpose.

We’re a recovery-friendly workplace that values family life, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
