BIS Safety Software is a Canadian based software company delivering leading safety software solutions to a global community. We are looking to add a Marketing Director to our expanding team who can bring varied marketing experience and a strategic mindset to the role.

About the Role

We’re searching for a Marketing Director to play a key role in driving the visibility and success of our software in a competitive market. Not only do you understand the fundamentals of marketing but you also intuitively know what works and what doesn’t—like a great movie director with an innate sense for success. You’ll help us refine our go-to-market messaging, elevate our brand, and ensure our omnichannel marketing efforts effectively convert leads while keeping a sharp eye on design and user experience.

This can be either a remote position, or an in-person position based out of our Sherwood Park, Alberta office if you are open to relocation. Given the nature of this role, feel free to be creative with your application.


Key responsibilities include:
  • Omnichannel Strategy & Execution - Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies (content, digital advertising, email marketing, SEO/SEM, social media), and ensure all channels work together seamlessly to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Website & Conversion Optimization - Lead the development and execution of a website strategy focused on maximizing user engagement and conversions, and continuously refine site structure, content, and user journeys to generate high-quality MQLs.
  • Team Leadership & Collaboration - Provide strategic guidance (~30%) while being ready to roll up your sleeves for hands-on execution (~70%). As well, mentor and develop a growing marketing team; foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and data-driven decisions.
  • Brand Positioning & Content - Translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives that resonate with our target audiences, and ensure consistent content production and brand messaging across all channels.
  • Data-Driven Optimization - Track key metrics (MQLs, SQLs, CAC, conversion rates) using HubSpot and analytics tools; refine strategies based on insights, while balancing gut intuition (just knowing what works) with measurable data to drive continual improvement.


You might be the right fit if you:
  • Excel at turning ideas into action, focusing on effective and efficient execution.
  • Have at least 5 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally within a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Possess a keen eye for design and brand consistency, ensuring all deliverables meet a high aesthetic standard.
  • Have a proven track record of omnichannel marketing, including content creation, digital advertising, SEO/SEM, and social media.
  • Can translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling marketing messages.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate leadership experience or potential and are excited about assembling a strong marketing team, team leadership, collaboration, and mentoring.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and familiarity with marketing automation tools (HubSpot ideally).


Bonus points:
  • Marketing education is an asset, but not required. However, real world experience is a must. 


$100,000 - $150,000 a year
Salary ranges are based on experience, reflecting the unique skillset each individual brings to the role. Total compensation for this role is a combination of salary + bonuses for achieving set marketing targets.
