We’re looking for a dynamic and detail-driven Service Delivery Manager to lead media encoding, transcoding, and playback technology implementation projects. In this exciting role, you’ll unite talented cross-functional teams to deliver seamless media pipeline solutions, pushing the boundaries of playback experiences across a variety of platforms.

The perfect candidate is someone with a strong technical product management background, deeply immersed in media encoding, video streaming protocols, and players. Exciting Activities to Enjoy:

• Project Planning and Execution: Define the project’s scope, timelines, and deliverables for media encoding and player development projects, creating a clear path for success.
• Team Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, QA specialists, designers, and product managers to develop and implement effective video encoding workflows and playback solutions.
• Stakeholder Management: Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on requirements, priorities, and timelines for optimal project outcomes.
• Media Encoding and Playback Optimization: Drive the development and refinement of encoding workflows, adaptive bitrate streaming, DRM solutions, and media player performance to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and establish strategies to address them, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure video encoding pipelines and players meet performance, quality, and compatibility standards across various devices and platforms.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough project documentation, progress reports, and key performance metrics to support transparency and informed decision-making.

You Definitely Need to Bring These Along:

Experience: You should have substantial project management experience in video streaming workflows, video encoding, or video player technologies, with a proven track record of successful project delivery and team collaboration.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with video codecs (H.264, H.265, AV1), streaming protocols (HLS, DASH), DRM (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady), and media players (Shaka, ExoPlayer, AVPlayer) is essential to the success of our projects.
Project Management Skills: Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies, with hands-on experience using project management tools like Jira, Trello, or similar tools to plan, execute, and monitor complex projects.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for liaising with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot media encoding and playback challenges will be a valuable asset to our team.
Highly Preferred: Experience with cloud-based encoding solutions (AWS MediaConvert, FFmpeg), video playback platforms (Apple, Android, LG, Samsung), video analytics, and performance monitoring tools.
