In this opportunity, we are looking for a Senior Full-stack PHP Developer to work with one of our foreign clients, a company dedicated to providing innovative solutions in the automotive parts industry. With a focus on E-Commerce, Search & Discovery, Fitment and vehicle data to create powerful e-commerce experiences with efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. They aim to enhance the overall experience for both buyers and sellers. They rely on a dynamic team of engineers to solve the many challenges of their rapidly evolving technical stack. 

We are seeking a Senior Full-stack PHP Developer who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in a forward-thinking organization that’s always pushing boundaries. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performing SaaS solutions and will have complete, end-to-end ownership of projects. The ideal candidate has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of the automotive industry, e-commerce, web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages. The Sr. PHP full stack developer will join a small team that uses new technology to solve challenges for both the front-end and back-end architecture, ultimately delivering amazing experiences for global users.

• Work across the entire stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth.
• Develop new features and infrastructure to support rapidly emerging business and project requirements.

• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design

• Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
• Develop and maintain scalable and high-performing software solutions using the specified tech stack
• Architect and guide building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
• Ensure code quality through unit and functional testing
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalabilityTroubleshoot and debug and fix issues to ensure smooth functionality
• Engage with inspiring designers and front-end engineers, and collaborate with leading back-end engineers to create reliable software
• Collaborate across time zones via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent videoconference
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices

• Minimum of six years of experience in building large-scale PHP software applications
• Expert Knowledge of PHP, Python, Javascript (Node.JS, React, Typescript, ES6, Cypress). Experience with PHP frameworks will not be considered.
• Expert knowledge of MySQL and writing complex high-performance SQL queries.
• Expert knowledge of building e-commerce websites
• Experience and expert knowledge of payment processing
• Experience building fraud mitigation tools
• Experience in the automotive industry and automotive parts standards such as ACES and PIES
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience working in a small team startup environment
• Experience working on or implementing e-commerce platforms or solutions
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud computing services
• Ability to write and maintain clear and concise technical documentation
• Experience in search technologies such as full-text lexical search and/or semantic vector-based search
• Strong understanding of Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with ML, ML embeddings and generative AI
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Experience in building web applications
• Experience in designing and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Experience processing large datasets and working with Big Data and Analytics.
• Experience with Messaging Queues such as RabbitMQ, AWS SQS and Kafka
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
• Experience in unit/integration testing
• Excellent communication skills.
