Junior Application Specialist Data Catalog

Responsibilities:

• Playing active part in onboarding processes for connecting new source systems (e.g. Oracle, Azure, Hive) to the Enterprise Data Catalog;
• Support within implementation/enhancements of interfaces to other Bosch systems;
• Providing support for application and it’s users;
• Documentation and statistics creation;
• Support with maintenance topics (e.g. installing upgrades, performing and enhancing backups);
• Ensuring SLAs (e.g. by monitoring, problem solving);
• Solving problems (e.g. with established processes, scripts).

Qualifications:

• Good knowledge of DBs (e.g. roles, queries), cloud solutions and ETL-tools as a plus;
• Basic knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem;
• Basic API knowledge;
• Basic Linux and infrastructure knowledge (e.g. server, firewalls);
• Knowledge in a data catalog and metadata management will be a plus;
• High willingness to learn new technologies;
• Ability to think analytically and proactive way of working;
• High customer orientation;
• Relevant university degree (e.g. Big Data, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, Industrial Engineer);
• English (fluent in spoken and written).
