Luminary Development Manager, Ultrasound General Imaging

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Responsible foridentifying, contracting, and fostering relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and regional luminaries to develop and enhance new Ultrasound General Imaging (GI) clinical applications and support the go-to-market strategy. This position requires 60% travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned- Collaborate with and support Samsung/Boston Imaging GI Ultrasound KOLs with the publishing of clinical papers, preparation of lectures and journal articles, coordinating content for webinars and testimonial videos, and scheduling of appropriate KOL representation at sponsored clinical conferences and symposia
- Identify opportunities, develop and implement plans that demonstrate the added clinical value of Samsung Healthcare technologies
- Funnel voice of customer feedback to the business
- Provide clear and comprehensive guidance in clinical support to field sales, applications and contribute to production of sales/marketing communication programs
- Provide clinical requirements and specifications input define clinical priorities to Ultrasound product development teams
- Continually monitor North American market to determine clinical market trends and key requirements for product development to maintain a leadership position in defined modality
- Interface with Engineering, Regulatory, Sales, Operations, Applications, and Service teams to understand and document key areas for improvement in clinical functionality
- Solicit input from customers, field sales, applications and service personnel regarding product improvements for assigned product lines and develop plans to capitalize on them
- Capacity to understand clinical trends and translate these into actionable programs
- Ensure articulation of the organization’s desired vision and brand
Education & Experience- RDMS required. Registered Diagnostic Sonographer: (Abd; Breast; RVT; Ob/Gyn; Cardiac Preferred)
- BA or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 10 years Ultrasound commercial experience at a leadership level preferred
- Proven experience in developing key opinion leader relationships and providing formal education at a national level
- Must have a working knowledge of IRB processes and requirements and be able to read, understand, execute, and articulate contracts and requirements for product evaluation, pre and post FDA clearance.
- Knowledge and understanding of policies and competitive dynamics in healthcare industry
- Ability to communicate and work effectively within a shared services business model to launch new products
- Ability to communicate with engineers, technical support personnel, doctors, clinicians and health care professionals on issues relating to product performance, and the health care industry generally
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to perform clinical and product training to all levels of customers
- Willing to travel overnight and internationally
- Must be a results-oriented, team player, people person
- Must be self-driven to optimize performance without the need for extensive supervision
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and work effectively in a demanding, fast paced environment

Computer Skills- Must be excellent with technology, able to present using a laptop and able demonstrate proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome
Physical Requirements- Regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally required to Push/pull weights of over 100 pounds when setting up/dismantling trade shows and/or maneuvering Company equipment into place for display
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
- Must be able to sit and/or drive for long periods of time when travelling
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
