In order for a customer to truly understand the power of Box, we have to speak to them in the language they know, with messaging and content tailored to their needs and the problems they have. Today, more than 10,000 government organizations trust Box to handle their sensitive data and critical workflows. Join us, as a Public Sector focused product marketer, to help us 10x our efforts in this industry. You’ll lead our industry positioning, messaging, content development, and integrated go-to-market plans to help us transform the way that government organizations work with their content.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Become a GTM expert in the public sector, including state, regional, and local government, federal civilian, and federal defense sectors. You’ll dig into market dynamics, buying patterns, business needs, technology trends, and more.
Develop targeted messaging and positioning for these industries by by conducting market research, participating in customer briefings, partnering with GTM teams, and more
Build expertise on Box’s product portfolio and align our features and capabilities with the Public Sector space. Partner closely with technical PMMs to iterate on product messaging specific to government institutions
Develop and execute the content strategy for external marketing channels (blog posts, e-books, presentations, 1-pagers, thought leadership, events, etc.) as well as for sales and customer success team enablement (outbound plays, battle cards, pitch decks, webpages, call scripts, email templates) to drive pipeline creation and acceleration, in partnership with campaign and field marketing leads
Most importantly, you will be a subject matter expert for Public Sector, and partner across marketing, sales, customer success, product teams, and with customers to understand challenges, use cases, and drive business results in this industry
WHO YOU ARE
8+ years of experience in product marketing, with a significant portion focused on one or multiple of these government segments: state, regional, and local government, federal civilian, or federal defense.
Expertise in developing messaging and positioning, GTM and content strategies, and sales enablement materials for the above sectors
SaaS “B2G” experience; strong understanding of a governmental sales process and cycle, and what public sector sellers need to be successful
Bias for action and ability to execute quickly, juggling multiple deliverables
Ability to unite cross-functional teams behind a common purpose and collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders
Strong business intuition: understanding of what keeps executives up at night
Competence and enthusiasm for messaging, positioning, and content development
Passion for a test and learn approach to decision-making, including being comfortable iterating

Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 2 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
