Role Overview
As a Senior Account Manager (SAM) – Fashion Communications, you will take a lead role in driving client strategy, media relations, talent partnerships, and event activations, ensuring high-impact results across digital and traditional media. You will be responsible for leading PR initiatives, managing key stakeholder relationships, and mentoring junior team members.
Working closely with the Senior Account Director (SAD), you will help shape seasonal strategies, new business development, and high-profile campaigns and events. Your ability to analyse industry trends, identify media opportunities, and craft compelling narratives will be critical to success.
This is a full-time role (Monday–Friday) with a hybrid work model requiring at least three days in the office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Account Management & Media Relations
- Lead proactive PR strategies that secure high-impact media coverage in print, digital, and broadcast.
- Develop compelling brand narratives, ensuring messaging aligns with client goals and industry trends.
- Identify and leverage cultural moments, fashion cycles, and market shifts to position brands effectively.
- Manage and lead weekly/monthly client meetings, providing insights, updates, and results-driven recommendations.
- Oversee, contribute to and finalise all client reports
- Drive new business initiatives, supporting proposal development, pitch strategy, and case studies.
- Maintain competitive intelligence, staying informed on emerging brands, trends, and consumer behaviours.
- Manage KPI tracking and campaign reporting, delivering measurable results for clients.
2. Leadership & Team Development
- Oversee Account Executives (AEs), ensuring seamless execution of their PR responsibilities.
- Mentor, train, and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance environment.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively, ensuring smooth project management and workflow coordination.
- Support internal best practices, including timesheets, Slack communication, and expense tracking.
3. Talent & Partnerships
- Expand and nurture relationships with key talent, VIP stylists and agents where necessary.
- Update target lists seasonally per brand, identifying new talent and industry contacts
- Oversee all VIP dressing, and client seeding programs with AE and/or Digital team.
- Collaborate with the social and digital teams to ensure PR efforts are aligned with brand storytelling and paid activations.
- Collaborate with the social and digital teams to monitor digital analytics, measuring talent impact, audience sentiment, and media reach.
- Support clients with innovative talent marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with their brand values.
4. Product, Sample & Asset Management
- Lead in the seasonal selection of assets.
- Oversee all client’s seasonal assets including samples, imagery and seeding, ensuring organisation on all internal servers.
- Support the Senior Account Director with feature pitching, bringing strong editorial insight.
- Provide support to the AEs with sample trafficking, seeding programs, and showroom organisation and logistics where necessary.
- Ensure AEs are proactive in showroom organisation, ensuring all collections are merchandised as per client directive and quality control across all sample management
5. Events & Activations
- Support the SAD in end-to-end event management, from venue sourcing to catering and additional creative elements, to include negotiation and contract support, ensuring smooth execution.
- With support from the SAD, manage critical path creation, timelines, budgets and staffing proposals for events
- Curate and manage targeted media and KOL guest lists, ensuring high-profile attendance in line with the brand, to include coordinating travel logistics, dressing appointments, and gifting strategies for major activations.
- Ensure all brand events and activations align with storytelling objectives.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Fashion PR Expertise: Proven experience in fashion communications, PR, or brand strategy.
- Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyse trends, identify opportunities, and drive results.
- Strong Media Network: Established relationships with fashion editors, stylists, and industry leaders.
- Exceptional Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with a talent for crafting engaging brand narratives.
- Leadership & People Management: Experience mentoring junior team members and managing workloads.
- Digital & Social Media Awareness: Understanding of influencer marketing, digital PR, and audience engagement.
- Event & Activation Leadership: Strong negotiation, budgeting, and event execution skills.
- Highly Organised & Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines efficiently.
- Knowledge of Fashion & Culture: In-depth knowledge of fashion trends, consumer behaviour, and luxury market dynamics.
Work Environment & Expectations
- Hybrid role: Minimum three days in-office, maximum two days WFH.
- Regular attendance at industry events, press days, and client activations required.
