Director of Pricing and Procurement

Who we are

We are the leading independent e-commerce logistics platform in Europe that provides scalable fulfillment services for e-commerce businesses and fast-growing D2C brands. From warehousing, picking and packing, delivery, and returns management, we take care of the whole order fulfillment process for online shops. By using our solution, retailers get access to a broad network of warehouses across Europe, which are all interconnected via our software. This enables e-commerce retailers to manage their whole logistics with our powerful all-in-one tool, in the fastest and most efficient way possible. As a result, merchants can improve their delivery speed, reduce logistics costs and optimize product availability.

As a scale-up company with several offices across Europe, we are always looking for talented team players who are eager to help us shape the future of e-commerce logistics; and this is where you come into play.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Drive GM1 improvement by identifying and implementing structural cost reductions across warehousing and transportation networks while ensuring competitive, value-driven customer pricing.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain teams to co-develop and execute the network roadmap, including procuring or divesting warehouses and carriers to align with company objectives.

Procurement Management

  • Own and manage strategic relationships with carriers and warehouses, ensuring the company’s position as a valued customer while driving mutual growth and efficiency.
  • Lead annual negotiations with carriers and warehouse providers to secure favorable terms and conditions that support the company’s financial goals.
  • Support the Supply Chain team in addressing escalations requiring ad-hoc financial negotiations with warehouse and carrier partners.

Pricing Strategy

  • Design, implement, and continuously refine processes to update customer pricing, ensuring alignment with market dynamics and cost structures.
  • Manage both annual pricing reviews and ad-hoc updates to maintain competitiveness and profitability.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the monthly review of warehouse and carrier invoices to identify and rectify discrepancies or cost leakages.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data entry into relevant systems (e.g., Eintreiber) to reflect the latest pricing and cost information.

Team Leadership

  • Hire, develop, and retain top talent in the Procurement and Pricing teams.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by providing regular training and development opportunities for team members.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in procurement, pricing, or supply chain management, ideally within an eCommerce, logistics, or fulfillment environment.
  • Strong track record of achieving cost optimization and revenue enhancement goals.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience managing complex vendor relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in relevant tools and systems (e.g., ERP platforms, pricing software).

  • Gym membership package. We want our employees to be healthy, happy, and well-rested. Our work-related activities are diversified; our movement is not. In order to create a balance, we offer gym memberships to colleagues in each of our entities, allowing them to keep active & maintain a healthy lifestyle.
  • Workcations. We know that flexibility to visit family, friends & new places is important, and days of annual leave are precious. That’s why we offer colleagues the opportunity to work abroad (for a given period); allowing the good times to roll while your vacation time remains untouched.
  • Annual public transport tickets. We offer annual public transportation tickets to employees based in Berlin & Vienna to compensate for the time they spend commuting and as an incentive to opt for the environmentally-friendly way of commuting to our offices.
  • Flexible working. Colleagues based near one of our hubs (Berlin, Vienna, Barcelona) take advantage of our hybrid working approach (working 2 days a week from the office & up to 3 at home) while we offer fully remote work to colleagues based outside of these locations, but still within one of our entities.
