We are seeking a flexible and creative Communications Specialist to join our Marketing team in Minneapolis. This role is ideal for a strong communicator and writer with a passion for storytelling, social media and brand building, along with creation, development, and execution of effective internal and external communication strategies. This role is also responsible for ensuring consistency of on-brand messaging across internal communications channels, and you will be responsible for managing and amplifying our social media presence, assisting with our public relations process, supporting brand initiatives and internal communications, collaborating with colleagues and communicating with external agencies.

What you'll be doing:

Social Media Management

  • Develop and execute global social media strategies to drive engagement, visibility, thought leadership and brand awareness.
  • Responsible for: content creation; employee engagement campaigns; acting as the employee support and vendor communications contact; and management of tools (e.g., Canva, Sprout Social).
  • Manage daily content creation and calendar, posting, monitoring and reporting across platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc.).
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize results.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices.

Internal Communications

  • Create and distribute internal messages across various channels, including email, Slack, SharePoint, etc.
  • Support and champion our values, culture and vision by crafting engaging content and ensuring consistent messaging across departments.
  • Write and edit engaging content on various internal channels including SharePoint, Slack, and email campaigns.
  • Assist with the management of internal and external meetings. This will include gathering content, building presentations, facilitating scheduling and meeting execution.

Branding & Marketing Support

  • Help maintain consistency in tone, messaging, and branding across all communication materials.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of brand guidelines and assets.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues and teams across the global enterprise to ensure consistent brand messaging across internal and external communications.
  • Support event communications and execution, promotional campaigns, and branded collateral development in support of building employee engagement, brand awareness and company strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field.2+ years of experience in a communications role, ideally with an emphasis on social media and internal communications.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency with tools including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), internal communications platforms (SharePoint, Slack) and Zoom (meetings and webinars).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to meet multiple, competing deadlines.
  • Enjoy working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graphic design and/or video editing experience a plus.
  • Experience in SaaS/technology industry.
  • Familiar and comfortable working with colleagues in person and remotely, across time zones and geographic regions

  • We offer market competitive pay and benefits based upon the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. Starting rate of pay for this salaried position is targeted at $60,000 annually.
