About Our Culture

Our mission to change behavioral health starts with us and how we operate. We don’t want to just change behavioral health, we want to change the way startups operate. Here are a few tactical examples:

1) Improving accessibility and quality of healthcare is something we live and breathe. Everyone on Camber’s team cares deeply about helping clinicians and patients.

2) We have to have a sense of humor. Healthcare is so broken, it's depressing if you don't laugh with us.

About The Role

Camber sits on $2B of annual therapy claims data, but that data is underutilized today. As an early member of our data team, you will help structure our data to help generate meaningful insights that drive our business decisions, as well as directly improve our product and help behavioral health clinics grow faster.

What you’ll do:
  • Become Camber’s internal expert on our data, helping define what Juniper’s critical metrics are and driving alignment across the organization as to what those metrics mean
  • Derive insights from our data around how to improve our insurance interactions, and drive those insights to impact, whether that be improving data quality or working with other teams to enhance our product
  • Build trust in our data and create a data driven culture, such that internal team members regularly turn to analytics first when making decisions
  • Help each function define, create, and maintain their first set of dashboards, and drive adoption by encouraging regular dashboard reviews
  • Create tools to help internal team members interact with data themselves
  • Identify further use cases for data across the organization (e.g., working with finance around operational metrics, helping inform the OKR process)

What we’re looking for:
  • 5+ years professional experience in data analysis, data science, and data engineering involving SQL, with a particular focus on modeling data effectively
  • Ability to build trust with our operations and engineering teams by quickly creating alignment and demonstrating competency: the team should feel daily that you’re making their jobs easier better through data
  • Someone who loves working in ambiguous settings, and can drive to clarity despite data quality issues
  • Passion for improving lives through behavioral health

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive comp: $165,000 - $180,000 a year + stock options
  • Insurance: We cover 100% of the premium for an Aetna national plan, as well as dental and vision coverage.
  • Wellness: If you see a therapist who’s out of network we’ll reimburse up to $100/week. We also provide $100/month reimbursement for general wellness.
  • Much more: 401k, commuter benefits, daily team lunch! For a full list of perks and benefits see our Notion doc.

$160,000 - $180,000 a year

Juniper is based in New York City with a satellite office in San Francisco, and we prioritize in-person and hybrid candidates. Please refer to the top of this page for this position's hiring location.

Building an inclusive culture is one of our core tenets as a company. We’re very aware of the structural inequalities that exist, and recognize that underrepresented minorities are less likely to apply for a role if they don’t think they meet all of the requirements. If that’s you and you’re reading this, we’d like to encourage you to apply regardless — we’d love to get to know you and see if there’s a place for you here!
