About the role:

As a Senior Account Executive at Cameo, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business growth by identifying and securing new customers. You will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing new business opportunities within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this role, you’ll leverage your sales expertise and passion for technology to build relationships with key decision-makers, understand their needs, and present tailored solutions that showcase the value of Cameo’s products and services.

Your success will directly impact the company's expansion and bottom-line growth. You will be supported by a collaborative team, equipped with the tools and resources to set you up for success. A strong understanding of celebrity culture and a good "celebrity IQ" will be a bonus, as it will help you better connect with potential clients and understand their unique needs.

This is an in-office role based at our Cameo HQ in the vibrant West Loop of Chicago, where you'll work closely with our team to drive results. If you're driven, results-oriented, and excited about the opportunity to make a tangible impact, this is the perfect role for you.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and research new business opportunities by prospecting through various channels, including cold calling, emails, social media, and networking. Develop a strong pipeline of potential clients and partners.
  • Sales Outreach & Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their business needs, pain points, and goals. Use consultative sales techniques to position Cameo’s offerings as the ideal solution.
  • Closing Deals: Take ownership of the sales cycle from initial contact to closing, effectively negotiating and closing contracts with new clients. Ensure a seamless transition to the post-sale team for smooth onboarding.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, customer success, and product teams to align messaging and ensure a great customer experience. Provide valuable feedback from prospects to help shape product and service offerings.
  • Meeting Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas and KPIs, tracking progress and reporting on your pipeline, opportunities, and performance.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on Cameo's products, industry trends, and the competitive landscape to effectively communicate value and drive sales conversations.
  • Contribute to Team Culture: Be an active participant in team meetings, sales trainings, and brainstorming sessions, contributing your ideas and energy to help elevate the team's success.

What you bring to the table:

  • Proven Sales Experience: You have 6+ years of experience in sales, preferably in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment. You’re skilled at prospecting, handling objections, and closing deals with both small and enterprise-level clients.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You excel at building rapport with people, both in writing and over the phone. Your ability to listen, empathize, and clearly articulate the value of Cameo’s products will be key to your success.
  • Results-Driven Mindset: You’re motivated by targets and thrive in an environment where your efforts directly contribute to company growth. You consistently meet or exceed sales quotas and are always looking for ways to improve your performance.
  • Ability to Navigate Both High Velocity & Complex Sales Cycles: You have experience managing long sales cycles ranging from just a few weeks to 6+ months and understand how to move a prospect from initial interest to closed deal, all while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), sales automation software, and other sales tools to streamline your efforts and track progress. An understanding of tech and SaaS products is a plus.
  • Celebrity IQ (Bonus): A good understanding of pop culture and celebrity trends is a plus! If you’re passionate about entertainment and have a high "celebrity IQ," you’ll be able to relate to our clients and prospects in a unique way that adds value to the sales conversation.
