Are you fascinated by human culture and behavior? Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for brands, innovation and consumer behavior? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Senior Cutlrual / Behavioral Analyst.
This is an opportunity to join a dynamic close-knit team focused on revealing the “why” behind consumer behavior. You'll be leading exciting projects, collaborating with brilliant people, and delivering impact for clients like Nike, Google, Lego, Mindshare and Universal Music. If you're smart, nice, open-minded and passionate about people and business, we want to meet you!
We are Canvas8, a strategic insights practice operating out of London, NY, LA, & Singapore. We help our clients understand people so they can make better business decisions.
Our work is about investigating the hidden insights in everyday life – from the psychology of boredom to teenage make-up rituals to why Barbiecore is a Gen Y thing – and making them meaningful for brands. Our team is a blend of different disciplines and skills – from psychology to journalism, and anthropology to behavioral economics. What unites them is a desire to understand people and a passion for delivering outstanding work.
This role is for a remarkable Senior Cultural / Behavioral Analyst with around 5 years of relevant experience. You will be responsible for pioneering and leading innovative research and analysis across consultancy projects and through the Canvas8 Membership.
As part of the Consultancy team, you’ll be researching cultural, social and technological shifts as well as changes in industry. The research is incredibly varied. One day you might be speaking to a scientist about the psychology of doom scrolling, the next you might be pouring over data to discover why teenagers have stopped playing sports.
You should have an ambition, drive, be personable and willing to get stuck in – leading strategic research projects, conducting analysis to solve client challenges, managing timelines and budgets, workshopping findings, designing deliverables, and debriefing clients.
You’ll need to excel at project leadership and project management, thinking creatively, and problem-solving, have great awareness of cultural trends, be emotionally intelligent, naturally curious about people, and have exceptional analytical, written and communication skills.
With a brilliant team around you, your efforts will be instrumental in helping Canvas8 inspire the world’s best brands, agencies and organizations.
You are experienced in consumer behavior, cultural analysis, strategy and research. However, your key strength is your ability to organize and analyze research and communicate clear insights that solve strategic problems.
You will be a brilliant writer and editor, comfortable with quantitative and qualitative research and analysis – and a great communicator, on paper and in person. You can unlock powerful insights across different sources, be confident interviewing people, and parsing data, be genuinely interested in the world around you, and be capable of telling inspiring stories.
Well-organized, you are comfortable leading complex projects from start to finish, directing others, managing timelines and budgets, and problem-solving. Finally, you’ll excel in clarity of analysis and creating inspiring deliverables – from ethnographic documentaries to engaging workshops and high-quality written reports.
