REQUIREMENTS for Intake Specialist:
- A high school diploma or GED (bonus points for an associate or bachelor’s degree!).
- Experience in healthcare or customer service is great—but we welcome new grads!
- Exceptional communication skills—you listen with empathy and speak with confidence.
- Proactive, organized, and ready to juggle tasks like a pro.
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Tech-savvy with scheduling tools and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Multilingual? Spanish, Vietnamese, or Korean speakers are a big plus!
Essential Functions:
- Master the Care Partners brand and service offerings.
- Become an expert in California’s Medi-Cal programs like CalAIM and ECM.
- Use your expertise to educate prospective clients and qualify them for services.
- Partner with community organizations and field inquiries about our programs.
- Ensure seamless onboarding for eligible clients by handling screenings, authorizations, and scheduling.
- Work closely with Lead Care Managers to guarantee a smooth handoff and successful start/end of services.
- Field inbound/outbound calls.
- Maintain impeccable records and contribute to growth by tracking call volume and outreach efforts, and other duties as assigned.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality about client services and care.
