Senior Product Designer - DeFi

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Senior Product Designer - DeFi.

Candidates can be based in NYC and willing to come to the office 3 days per week.

Candidates can be based in Tel Aviv and willing to come to the office 3 days per week.

Candidates can be based in the USA but willing to travel as an when needed to the NYC office, they also must work EDT hours.

Candidates can be based in Europe working remote, they must overlap 4+ hours with EDT timezone and match all of the hiring criteria.

We are the first automated, on-chain economic security system enabling crypto protocols to optimize risk management and capital efficiency while safeguarding user funds. We analyze protocol mechanics and scenario implications using world-class custom EVM simulations to provide actionable insights. Our platform is trusted by leading protocols, including Aave, GMX, dYdX, Venus and others, to manage and secure billions of dollars in assets.

We are looking for a Product Designer (UI/UX) to be the first design hire on our team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and visual identity of our product suites. This is an opportunity to own and define the design function from the ground up, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to create intuitive and visually compelling products.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design process, from user research and wire-framing to high-fidelity UI design and implementation.
• Develop and maintain a consistent design system, ensuring a cohesive look and feel across all products.
• Work closely with product managers and engineers to translate technical insights into user-friendly experiences.
• Create intuitive dashboards, data visualizations, and interactions that simplify complex risk and analytics data.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and refine designs based on real user needs.
• Design and prototype responsive, high-performance interfaces optimized for both web and mobile experiences.
• Establish and document best practices for UI/UX design, setting the foundation for future design hires.
• Collaborate with marketing and branding teams to ensure visual consistency across all company touchpoints.

4+ years of experience in UI/UX or product design, preferably in fintech, crypto, or data-heavy applications.

Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design - from research to execution.

Experienced in designing data-rich dashboards, analytics platforms, or financial applications.

Understanding of HTML, CSS, basic React knowledge.

Has had prior experience working as the only Product Designer on a team.
