CARFAIR – MATERIALS COORDINATOR
Carfair Composites is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the management of customers, production scheduling and materials planning within a product grouping. The Materials Coordinator is the liaison between the customer and production team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
1. Manage all customer requirements and schedules for release within manufacturing divisions. Responsible for job accuracy; maintaining accuracy of requirements and accuracy of reject requirements.
2. Entry and management of customer orders and regular communication on daily shipping schedule. Review all incoming Customer PO’s to ensure specified documentation revision is available. Based on Customer’s approved carrier list, schedule pickups for customer shipments, coordinate and arrange all shipments and all shipping documentation.
3. Enter all customer shipments into their respective Automated Shipping and Billing systems
4. Liaison between the Customer and Production to resolve capacity, schedule and priority changes
5. Work closely with Production Supervisors to ensure daily shipping schedules are met
6. Coordinate materials functions in a within a team environment including materials, manufacturing, engineering, production and QA
7. Ensure material coordination in the following key areas: responsible for communication to customer and other plants with all shipping requirements and errors, monitor and reduce past due demands, reduce negatives to zero
8. Manage all intercompany finished good transfers
9. Print production tags and prepare work order binders
10. Ensure all containers, packages and shipments are marked and identified per customer requirements
11. Co-ordinate pick-up of approved customer returned parts and advise appropriate personnel when parts are received
12. Responsible for ensuring accurate implementation of Engineering Change Orders to released jobs.
13. Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
· Secondary education. Certificate/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, an asset.
· At least 2 years of manufacturing/operations experience.
· 1-3 years’ experience with office and document management.
· Knowledge of production planning and control.
· MS Office, effective communicator, self-motivated, problem solving sills, organized.
· Ability to function within a manufacturing environment.
