Catbird is seeking a dedicated and experienced Retail Operations Manager to drive operational efficiencies across all retail locations. Oversee the development of company standard operating procedures (SOPs), streamline store communications, assess and deliver new store technologies and as the Retail Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding our brand presence, ensuring consistency in operations, and optimizing store performance.

Key Responsibilities- Partner in planning and execution of new store openings, ensuring a seamless and successful launch.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including retail, design, merchandising, facilities and marketing, to ensure timely store setup.
- Partner to develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines for each store opening.
- Partner with Retail Regional Managers to coordinate store training, and readiness to ensure a smooth transition to full operations.
- Partner with IT/MRO to set up each new location’s IT infrastructure and maintenance programs
- Conduct post-opening evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
- Create, review, and enhance retail standard operating procedures to ensure consistency in store operations.
- Collaborate with department heads to document and refine processes for store operations, inventory management, customer service, and more.
- Maintain an organized repository of up-to-date SOPs for easy access and reference.
- Partner with retail training team to ensure up-to-date SOP’s are incorporated into retail training materials
- Analyze store performance metrics to identify areas of operational improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Partner with cross functional teams to ensure that retail stores have sound inventory management, low shrink and consistent improvements to processes and procedures when handling products.
- Implement technology solutions and tools to streamline operations and improve customer experience.
- Provide support and guidance to store managers and operational staff, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Partner with Regional Manager to conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and teamwork.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and brand standards across all retail locations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
Our Ideal Candidate- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in retail operations management, with a focus on new store openings and SOP development. With 5+ years as a Store manager or above (equivalent)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset and proficiency in data analysis tools to drive informed decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in implementing process improvements and technology solutions.
- Understanding of inventory management, retail operations, and customer service best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment.
