Policy & Communications Manager - Justice & Education

Company Description

Catch22 exists to help build a society where everyone has a good place to live, good people around them, and a fulfilling purpose. We call these our ‘3Ps’.

We achieve this in two ways: we improve lives through frontline delivery of public services, and we use our knowledge to change ‘the system’ by fixing the complex web that can trap and disempower those it was set up to help. With the heart of a charity and the mindset of a business, we are uniquely placed to deliver on this challenging agenda.

As part of the Communications & Digital Marketing team, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Catch22, building connections between our services and external stakeholders, from policymakers to the public. Working with us means being part of a mission-driven, innovative environment where creativity and strategic thinking thrive.

  • Lead communications strategies for intervention, rehabilitation services, and specialist schools.
  • Create engaging content for websites, social media, events, and promotional materials.
  • Plan and deliver policy events like roundtables and advisory boards to drive local and national change.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders, ensuring our services influence Justice and Education policy.
  • Oversee production of impactful written and video case studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage social media campaigns, media pitches, and strategic communication needs.
  • Collaborate on flagship events like the Justice Conference.
  • Coordinate public policy events, ensuring key insights shape our campaigns.
  • Supervise a Communications and Policy Officer and contribute to bid writing and strategic planning.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven track record in communications and policy development.
  • Experience in event planning, stakeholder engagement, and influencing decision-makers.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficiency in platforms like Salesforce, WordPress, or Google Analytics.
  • Background in Justice, Education, or related sectors.

  • Delivering high-quality policy events and impactful campaigns.
  • Contributing to systemic change in Justice and Education policy.
