CGIAR science is dedicated to reducing poverty, enhancing food and nutrition security, and improving natural resources and ecosystem services. Its research is conducted closely with hundreds of partners, including national and regional research institutes, civil society organizations, academia, development organizations, and the private sector.
The Communications and Advocacy unit, under the Enablement function, provides programmatic and advisory services in the engagement of the CGIAR Systems Organization’s stakeholders –internal and external – through different channels both traditional and non-traditional. The promotion of the research for development initiatives of the CGIAR as a whole and of individual centers in particular and their impact, utilizing a distinct, unified voice, is critical to achieving the group’s mission by building awareness and support.
The Internal Communications Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Communications and Advocacy, designs and executes internal communications content and activities, provides support within the Communications and Advocacy team focused on internal staff communications and engagement. Responsible for generating content and activities in the wider Internal Communications portfolio from identification, delivery, and assessment is crucial for fostering staff engagement and building a collaborative CGIAR community.
