POSITION PURPOSE:

The Contracts Assistant Property Manager will support the property management team by focusing on insurance follow-up and managing operations contracts. This role will be supporting multiple regions of our multi-family portfolio. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage contract-related tasks to ensure smooth property operations.

• Assist in the management and administration of vendor insurance policies, including follow-up on claims and renewals
• Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, claims, and related documentation
• Manage and oversee operations contracts, including vendor agreements, maintenance contracts, and service agreements
• Ensure all contracts are compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues or discrepancies
• Collaborate with property management and legal teams to negotiate and finalize contracts
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on insurance and contract activities
• Assist with other property management tasks as needed, including lease administration and resident inquiries
• Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes affecting property insurance and contracts

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management, contract administration, or insurance follow-up preferred
• Strong understanding of property insurance policies and claims processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software
• Experience with operations contracts and vendor management

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. The role is considered non-exempt so will be eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state law. At CIM, this role has the potential to receive a discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The anticipated base pay range for the position in Los Angeles, California is $28-$33 per hour.
