POSITION PURPOSE:

The Housekeeper reports to the Property Manager under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and ensures the overall cleanliness and proper appearance of the exterior and interior physical features of the community; this is accomplished by performing tasks to maintain the grounds, vacant apartment homes, leasing office, amenity areas. and overall curb appeal.  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • The following will involve working with the Property Manager, Assistant Property Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor:
  • Performs hands-on duties to ensure vacated units are move-in ready, including but not limited to dusting, cleaning countertops, vacuuming, and mopping
  • Responsible for the daily upkeep of all common/amenity areas, office, clubhouse, and models
  • Inspects the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings and ensure all common areas and amenities are neat at all times
  • Reports community safety hazards to supervisor
  • Follows and maintains the interior maintenance programs and schedules established within the company as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Completes assigned minor and routine service requests correctly and in a timely manner
  • Maintains top-notch customer service relationships with residents, prospects, and coworkers
  • Performs other tasks or duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager
  • Adheres to CIM safety and hazard communications programs, policies and procedures and maintains a safe work environment


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • May work irregular hours (early mornings, weekends), based on the needs of the property 
  • While performing the duties of this job the associate primarily works in an outdoor environment exposed to adverse weather conditions as well as dirt and/or dust


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • None


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)
  • High school education required
  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license
  • Previous knowledge/experience of housekeeping, janitorial and general maintenance helpful


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • COMMUNICATION SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Read and interpret documents such as service requests
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with residents, clients, team members, and other business contacts and respond courteously to questions and requests

  • MATHEMATICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

  • REASONING SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems

  • TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Working knowledge of basic interior/exterior maintenance, hand tools and cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment used to perform job duties
  • Must be detail oriented, have high standards, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. The role is considered non-exempt so will be eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state law. At CIM, this role has the potential to receive a discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The anticipated base pay range for the position in Denver, Colorado is $19-$24 per hour.
