Position Summary
The successful candidate is detail oriented and will possess strong critical thinking and analytical skills, allowing them to efficiently analyze and reconcile financial records, meet deadlines, and manage a wide range of system updates and accounting activities. The ideal candidate should thrive in an environment where they can handle multiple tasks, accept new responsibilities, and proactively recommend improvements to procedures. This role requires effective communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders, a member-focused approach to problem-solving, and the ability to assist in system enhancement and modernization testing efforts.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and provide recommendations to improve unit procedures. Analyze unit’s activity dashboard to identify inefficiencies. Assist in employee training and evaluate peer performance for accuracy and maintain production records.
- Report on technical system issues, participate in the UAT/SAT testing, access accuracy of Systems' records and communicate daily with IT on all aspects related to unit's issues.
- Participate in the analysis and evaluation of accounting computations, reconciliations and financial reports for annual and interim financial statements.
- Monitor and support Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) transactions, including replacement checks, check reissues, EFT reversals and reconciliations for accurate processing.
- Oversee incoming inquiries from the Call Center or Legal Department, serving as technical consultant on complex inquiries, and retrieving financial data and information as necessary.
- Assist in the modernization of financial systems, including testing of system enhancements and updates. Work with the IT team to ensure all changes are properly assessed, tested, and implemented.

Qualifications

1. An associate degree or completion of 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in mathematics, statistics, accounting and/or actuarial science and two years of satisfactory full-time experience performing mathematical, statistical, actuarial or accounting computations in one or more of the following: a) a retirement or employee benefits plan;
b) for customer service in a financial institution; and/or c) in a position requiring the application of law, rules and regulations and the use of statistical, actuarial or similar tables; or

2. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization and four years of the experience described in "1" above. Each 15 semester credits from an accredited college including at least 3 credits in the areas described in "1" above may be substituted for each 6 months of experience to a maximum of 2 years experience. All candidates must have a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and at least 2 years of experience as described in "1" above.
