The Bronx District Attorney’s Office is seeking a well-qualified staff whose diverse backgrounds reflect an ability to serve the over 1.3 million members of the Bronx County community and pursue a safer Bronx through fair justice. The Bronx County District Attorney’s Office has an opening for an Executive Assistant who will provide complex administrative support to the Chief Assistant District Attorney and Executive team members.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely and collaborate on projects with the Chief Assistant District Attorney
Handle confidential and sensitive administrative matters
Collaborate with the executive team on special projects
Coordinate events including but not limited to NYC government entities
Be a liaison between Judges and other court staff for Chief Assistant District Attorney
Manage and organize the Chief Assistant District Attorney calendar with internal and external meetings/events
Manage travel process/plans for the Chief Assistant District Attorney and attending staff
Create and maintain documents and reports as requested
Ensure all correspondence/communications are responded to in a timely and professional manner
Assist with desk coverage for the Bronx District Attorney as needed
Special projects and all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
A baccalaureate degree preferred and three (3) years of relevant administrative experience or an Associate Degree and five (5) years relevant administrative experience
Prior administrative support experience
Strong familiarity with New York City agencies, community stakeholders, and governmental functions
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong collaborative and planning skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with all levels of staff’
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
