Student and School Marketing Partner

Clasp is a venture-backed, mission-driven startup transforming access to education and career pathways. We are revolutionizing the way employers attract and retain critical talent, while simultaneously tackling the student debt crisis. (Yep, we think BIG.) Our innovative platform meaningfully connects employers, educational institutions, and diverse talent to drive mutual benefit—using accessible education financing as the thread. We like to think of ourselves as more than a fintech; we’re a catalyst for economic mobility.

A Forbes Fintech 50 company, portfolio company of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management — the largest HR organization out there!) and recipient of “Startup of the Year” by StartUp Boston, Clasp is driven by our commitment to social impact and innovation. We are reshaping the future of the workforce one opportunity at a time. Join us on our journey to give power to learners and unlock fulfilling careers that drive positive change in their communities and beyond.

We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Student and School Marketing Partner to own and scale top-of-funnel student interest, demand, and application volume for our Employer-Sponsored Student Loan Programs. This role is more than traditional recruitment—it's about driving measurable student enrollment and conversion by engaging universities, student organizations, and career services. The ideal candidate has a sales or business development mindset, thrives in quota-driven environments, and is motivated by meeting and exceeding targets for student engagement.

What You'll Do:

Drive Student Demand & Enrollment

- Perform top-of-funnel student outreach, ensuring consistent growth in applications for employer-sponsored loan programs.

- Develop and execute high-impact recruitment campaigns that drive student awareness and participation.

-Utilize both digital and in-person engagement strategies to maximize student interest.

Build & Manage University Partnerships

-Establish and maintain strong relationships with universities, career services, faculty, and student organizations to generate sustainable student pipelines.

-Identify key academic institutions and develop tailored engagement strategies that align with employer-sponsored programs.

-Act as a liaison between employers and schools, ensuring seamless collaboration and program success.

Execute High-Impact Outreach & “Sales” Strategies

-Take an entrepreneurial approach to student recruitment—experimenting, optimizing, and scaling outreach channels to increase application volume.

- Represent employer partners in meetings with academic institutions and at student-facing events, ensuring their programs gain maximum visibility.

- Leverage data and insights to continuously refine recruitment efforts and improve conversion rates.

Track, Analyze & Optimize Performance

- Own key performance metrics—including student leads generated, applications submitted, and conversions achieved.

- Use CRM systems, tracking tools, and engagement metrics to monitor effectiveness and pivot strategies as needed.

- Provide data-driven insights to internal teams, employers, and school partners to enhance outreach and recruitment efforts.

What you will need:
  • 4+ years of experience in high-performance recruiting, sales, admissions, or business development, with a strong focus on outreach and conversion.
  • Proven track record of working with quotas, KPIs, or sales targets, demonstrating the ability to hit and exceed goals.
  • Strong background in university relations, academic partnerships, staffing, admissions, or student recruitment.
  • Experience driving student engagement through digital and in-person marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, email automation, lead generation tools, and recruitment tech.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and persuasive selling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Passion for education, workforce development, and expanding access to career opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% across the U.S. for events, campus visits, and partnership meetings.

What we give in return:
  • Competitive cash and equity compensation
  • Health benefits (health, dental, & vision)
  • 401k
  • Commuter benefits
  • Flexible PTO policy
  • Opportunities to grow and perform in a fast-paced environment alongside a stellar team.
