Salary: £32-35,000 DOE. Please note this is based on the location being within the UK. Successful candidates living in other locations will be placed on the equivalent local pay scale.

Purpose:
The Fundraising and Programme Design team is responsible for ensuring the financial sustainability of the organisation by mobilising resources to achieve its mission. They search and monitor for funding sources and mobilise grants to support the implementation of Climate Bonds Initiative's strategic objectives. The team provides coordination, processes, tools and hands-on support for the preparation of proposals and concepts and also leads the facilitative design of cross-cutting, multi-regional, complex programmes. They cultivate and maintain oversight of relationships with funders through the donor management process
Climate Bonds is looking for a Fundraising Coordinator who will support the Fundraising team by overseeing the fundraising opportunity pipeline, supporting with project management and coordination, producing key slide decks and helping to shape marketing materials in support of Climate Bonds’ approaches to institutional, philanthropic and individual funders.
Working with the Head of FPD this role will contribute to delivering excellent stewardship to existing funders through regular updates, newsflash, newsletters and tailored communications. The Fundraising Coordinator will also be responsible for leading on the use and design of the CRM database, currently Microsoft Dynamics.
The coordinator will support the FPD team and wider organisation in engaging and cultivating prospective new donors through visually compelling material. Additionally, the role will support the CIO in their external engagements through the production and management of briefings, donors list, events calendars and related resources. A key part of the role will be ensuring the seamless coordination of the proposal pipeline, assisting to keep key deadlines on track and providing regular updates.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and be responsible for Communications and Marketing for the FPD team, understanding the funder/influencer audience and acting as ambassador for them internally.
- Provide support to the Head of FPD to execute fundraising communications and monitor metrics and benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of the fundraising marketing efforts, as well as a process for ongoing evaluation and improvement
- Assist with the creation and production of any new high-quality, written and visual content, including pitch decks, annual impact report, newsletters, to support fundraising efforts, aligning closely with the marketing and comms team for brand, messaging and sign off.
- Take ownership of the quality and effectiveness of all fundraising proposals and comms materials including the website, identifying the correct use of language and narrative for per-suasive storytelling – including and not limited to, proof-reading and the editing of proposal documents.
- Monitor grant portals for upcoming opportunities that align with organisational goals
- Develop and lead the effective use of the CRM system for fundraising/influencer audience to ensure consistency across the team, create campaign distribution lists and monitor performance to inform future fundraising success.
- Support the fundraising team in drafting correspondence, managing stewardship efforts, researching new prospects and maintaining and monitoring the fundraising pipeline to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information.
- Monitor and track progress toward fundraising goals and develop regular reports to communicate progress and results to key internal stakeholders.
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience in communications and marketing
- At least 3 years of experience in fundraising, project coordination, communications or a related field, with a track record of success in developing and implementing comprehensive communications and fundraising plans.
- Experience working in a non-profit or similar mission-driven organisation
- Proficiency with design software to create visually compelling fundraising and marketing materials.
- Proficiency in the use of CRM systems, Microsoft Dynamics or HubSpot preferred
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messaging that resonates with target audiences.
- Project coordination and management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with programmatic staff and other stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
- Experience working in a communications or fundraising role in an international context
- Experience marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and online advertising
- Knowledge of digital marketing and communications strategies and tools, including social media, email marketing, and website content management systems.
- Experience in developing and managing relationships with funders, including prospect research, proposal development, and stewardship efforts.
- Familiarity with fundraising best practices and trends in the non-profit sector.
- Fluency or proficiency in a second language
