Compensation: $50,500 - $63,000

Direct Reports: No

We're looking for a mission-driven Executive Business Partner who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.

Your Impact at CNIB

  • Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements for the Executive.
  • Prepare and review correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents on behalf of the Executive.
  • Handle confidential information with a high degree of discretion and professionalism.
  • Draft and review internal and external communications including reports, press releases and any other external communications in partnership with Marketing and Communications.
  • Provide guidance and support for a wide range of administrative functions and process and ensure they are carried out in compliance with the organizations policies.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings, coordinate travel arrangements with the Travel & Logistics team, and book appropriate facilities for meetings and events as required.
  • Approve timecards and time off requests for direct reports of the Management team as directed by the Executive.
  • Arrange appropriate services, catering and equipment needs for office meetings, events and presentations, as required.

Who you are:

Education and Certifications

  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration or Business Administration; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • Administrative Assistant Certificate an asset.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in an administrative role.
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills; ability to build productive business and stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • High degree of discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and multi-task in an organized manner.
  • Microsoft suite of products (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Knowledge of Board structure and functions in non-profit sector an asset.
  • Driver’s license would be desirable.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
