Team Lead

The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.


The Team Lead provides direct services to and advocacy for victims of domestic violence within Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH).  The coordinator will provide assessments of adult victims of domestic violence and assess the impact of domestic violence on children and the family unit, as well as provide direct case management for a limited caseload.  The position will also coordinate services for adults and children and make referrals to both internal FSS staff, and external Partner Organizations.  The position will serve the team lead for crime victim services and early intervention and will provide leadership support to the supervisor. Will also collect and maintain data for project reporting and provide training and consultation to other CCH staff.

Essential Job Functions 
  • Serves as a liaison on projects between CCH and Partner Organizations.
  • Schedules meetings with partner organizations at least twice a year to evaluate the progress of the project and make any necessary adjustments.
  • Collects and maintains data for project reporting.
  • Provides case management services to a limited caseload of clients experiencing domestic violence. Delivers services to the required number of adults and children in accordance with grant requirements.
  • Provides direct services for victims of domestic violence participating in CCH housing to include safety planning, assessments, and counseling.
  • Provides assessments of adult victims of domestic violence and assesses the impact of domestic violence on children and the family unit.
  • Refers and coordinates services for adults and children to both internal FSS staff and external Partner Organizations.
  • Provides both in-home and on-site direct services related to domestic violence issues.
  • During normal business hours, provides emergency intervention for clients suffering domestic violence-related issues.
  • Assists Supervisor with hiring process and provides training and onboarding support to new staff.
  • Leada and/or supports with specialty services projects
  • Provides administrative support for specialty program needs, including following up on non-client-related program questions.
  • Monitor referrals for EI/SS in EHR and ensuring referrals are followed up within a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications Summary 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple job responsibilities, work independently, and exercise professional judgment.
  • Ability to function as a part of an interdisciplinary team and function effectively with collaborating agencies.
  • Ability to train and consult other staff members.
  • Must have a Colorado driver’s license and meet the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless insurance requirements to drive and transport clients in company vehicles.

Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or equivalent field is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience working with victims of domestic violence strongly preferred.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
  • Previous experience and sensitivity working with low-income or homeless families preferred.


$22.50 - $27.72 an hour
