Hiring Process:

We’re excited you’re interested in the Associate Media Host position! Here’s what you can expect as part of our hiring process for this position. 

• Writing Sample
  • As part of your application process, you’ll be asked to complete a writing sample. Directions for this will be provided in the application screening questions.
  • This is a requirement in order to be considered for the position. 
• Application Review
  • Our hiring team will carefully review your application and writing sample to determine if you’ll move forward to the next stage.
• Video Submission 
  • If selected, you’ll receive an assignment to create a video presenting on a specific topic. This will give us a sense of your on-camera presence and presentation skills.
• Team Interviews
  • After a positive review of your video submission, you will move forward to interview with multiple members of  the Content & Media department. 
• On-Site Camera Test
  • The final stage is an on-site camera test, where you’ll showcase your ability to perform in a professional studio environment.

The Associate Media Lead role supports Comoto’s Content & Media department through pre-production, writing and acting as on-camera talent. The Associate Media Lead will focus on motorcycle hard parts install video, apparel focused commerce video, and short-form social media video across all three of our brands. Our ideal candidate has mechanical and riding experience in a wide array of motorcycle segments including but not limited to: American V-Twin, Sport, and ADV-Touring. As you will be responsible for your own script production, this role requires strong writing skills as well as the ability to communicate clearly and effectively on-camera. This position will be based out of our Philadelphia office.
 

Our Next Associate Media Lead Will Be Responsible For:

• Pre-Production
  • Research, source, organize, install, and test pertinent motorcycle hard parts for on-camera presentation
  • Work with the merchandising department to facilitate awareness around parts and gear selection for video production.
• Writing
  • Collaborate with Video Production Manager to create organized and executable outlines/scripts with a focus on motorcycle gear and hard parts installations.
  • Potential collaboration with Managing Editor of CommonTread to develop requested articles with a focus on motorcycle hard parts or installs.
• On-camera Talent
  • Deliver commerce video outlines and scripts in a succinct, confident, and personable manner on camera.
  • Understand that creating video content takes exceptional effort, including:
    • Long-hours
    • Creative collaboration and sharing with an experienced production team
    • Particular requests needed to maintain a high standard of video (including repetitive script reading, very specific action execution, etc.)
    • The need to maintain a positive and engaged mindset throughout the production process
  • Contribute to Comoto social media offerings in publishing of content, brand marketing, and audience engagement.
• Miscellaneous
  • As brand-ambassador for Comoto in on-camera mediums, it is imperative to recognize that a Media Host’s demeanor, communication, and collaboration skills on and off-camera are held to very high standard. 

Our Next Associate Media Host has the following Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Core Competencies:

• Communicate effectively through writing  scripts, articles, emails, official letters, etc.
• Demonstrate effective verbal communication in creative brainstorming meetings, on camera during shoots, etc. 
• Proficient with all major social media platforms including but not limited to: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc. 
• Proficient with Google’s suite of products including mail, calendar, sheets, and docs. 
• Takes feedback well and works through issues with a producer or editor to improve delivery over time.
• Understand and respect hierarchy for direction on productions, creative discussions, studio shoots, etc. 
• Reacts to directional changes quickly, effectively, and positively.
• Advanced motorcycle mechanical knowledge is required.
• Substantial parts, motorcycle, and apparel knowledge.
• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work a schedule outside of normal business hours.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with CapCut or other social media tools is a plus. 
• Experience with SmartSheets, Jira, and Slack is a plus.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Concentrated mental and visual attention for sustained periods.
• Repetitive hand motions.
• Requires walking, standing, and continuous sitting for long periods.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Riding single and two up on all types of motorcycles.
• Demonstrable proficiency in operating a motorcycle lift.
• Demonstrable proficiency in hauling motorcycles with a full-size light-duty truck and trailer.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle
• Valid motorcycle endorsement/license
• Manually moving and riding all types of motorcycles.
