What You'll Do- Establish and maintain strong relationship with domestic and overseas factory partners
- Work with factory partners to source and select blanks, fabrics, embellishments and other materials while considering design intent, quality, cost, and lead time
- Collaborate with Brand Management and Production teams to understand garment/item concepts to create tech packs, outline product specifications, and kick off sampling process
- Coordinate with production teams to manage timelines for samples, prototypes, and final production runs.
- Oversee the creation of sample garments, ensuring they match the design specifications
- Ensure products achieve high standards of quality and functionality
- Manage projects and timelines to ensure deadlines are met during the sample and final production phases
- Work with the Production Coordinator to manage all references, sampling, samples and tracking numbers across all brands and partners
- Apply problem-solving skills and work closely with the rest of the production team to find solutions to any product development challenges
- Maintain organized and detailed records of product development process and progress
- Develop and build a knowledge base and stays updated on vendor capabilities and performance, factory relationships, quality issues, pricing, and lead times
- Maintain references of internal and external products or samples to stay informed and up to date on new executions, technologies, materials, etc.
Who You Are- 3-5 years of experience in apparel production and development
- Extensive familiarity garment construction and the apparel production process from concept to delivery
- Must have in-depth knowledge of production workflows
- Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and product mockups.
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing with clients, vendors and internal teams
- Demonstrated proactive nature, leadership skills and ability to solve problems that arise while meeting tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and cost control
- Familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD software)
- Thrives in fast paced environment
- Vehicle required to travel to supplier or manufacturer sites as needed
$85,000 - $100,000 a year
The Pay Range, which consists of salary and commission, for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Complex Total Rewards offerings for employees.
