Merchant Account Manager

Skimlinks, a Taboola Company, is a global e-commerce monetization platform, with offices in LA, London, Germany, NYC, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shenzhen.  We work with over 60,000 premium publishers (Condé Nast, Hearst Magazines, Buzzfeed, Yahoo) and 50,000 retailers around the world ( iHerb, Sephora, Ali Express,NAP, Lowe,  Strathberry...) helping publishers get paid commissions for the products and brands they write about. This gives us a direct view of the browsing and shopping behaviors of over 650 million users. Our technology understands the web pages users visit, the brands and products they look at, the links they click on, and the purchases they make, across our entire network. We track over $2.5m affiliated sales every day and have the expertise and the tools to power all commerce strategies on every channel development of new Merchant / Advertiser client relationships.

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Merchant Account Manager to join our team in managing and growing our merchant accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with our strategic clients, understanding their business goals, and driving revenue growth through effective account management and upselling opportunities. You will serve as the main point of contact for your assigned accounts and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure client satisfaction and success. Key Responsibilities

  • Champion the value of Skimlinks and Connexity products across merchants and partner networks.
  • Develop strategies to engage and optimise high-quality editorial partners, BNPL providers, coupon sites, and influencers.
  • Manage and grow retail media spend with merchants locally and globally.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs — revenue, clicks, conversions, ROI — using internal analytics tools.
  • Deliver Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with strategic insights and recommendations based on performance data.
  • Partner with the Publisher team to run proactive optimisation campaigns around key sales events.
  • Cross-sell emerging traffic sources to merchants to drive incremental growth in clicks, sales, and revenue.
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure technical performance and data accuracy.
  • Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis to help merchants stay ahead in their verticals.
  • Negotiate exclusive rates and commercial models to maximise partner success.
  • Represent Skimlinks at conferences and industry events, building brand visibility.
  • Build strong relationships with key buyer personas within your portfolio.
  • Identify growth opportunities, nurture client trust, and address business pain points.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio across APAC and global advertisers.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams — Marketing, Product, Operations — to drive client success.
  • Be a brand ambassador, presenting Skimlinks’ vision and expertise at key industry moments.
  • Stay ahead of trends in affiliate marketing, BNPL, and influencer marketing to bring fresh thinking to client strategies.
  • Experience in Account Management and/or Business Development
  • Solid understanding of performance marketing channels (PPC, display, SEO, affiliate)
  • Familiarity with CPC and CPA cost models and key publisher-side KPIs (e.g. revenue per session, conversion rate, cost of sale)
  • Knowledge of BNPL and influencer marketing platforms
  • Comfortable working with technical teams and digital solutions from a commercial perspective
  • Proven success in relationship building, negotiation, and account growth
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail
  • Commercially minded with a drive to help advertisers unlock growth opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident in handling objections and negotiating deals
  • Curious, proactive, and always eager to stay ahead of industry trends
  • Strong networking abilities and awareness of key players in the space
  • A strong team player who supports others and contributes to a collaborative culture
  • Highly organised, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and consistently exceeds goals
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Willing to be in the Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai or Shenzhen office 3 days/week
