Control Risks is seeking a Director to lead our Data & Technology Consulting team in our APAC region. This is a technology and business leadership role, working collaboratively with regional leadership and client teams. The Director will be responsible for driving the digital transformation (4D programme) with service lines in the APAC region according to global priorities, embedding data and technology across client projects, and working with service lines to maximize value to our clients. The Director will support business development activities across the region where specialist data analytics or technology skills are required, providing expertise and thought leadership. This role can based in either our Singapore or Sydney offices.
Role tasks and responsibilities
Drive the implementation of global digital transformation priorities across service lines and client projects, working with local teams to deliver increased value to clients.
Collaborate and coordinate across the region and with global service line leads to define and execute digital transformation priorities, focused on data assets, risk models, and application of emerging technologies (e.g GenAI).
Support innovation through the application of data and technology, working with regional leadership to identify and develop opportunities aligned to global priorities.
Provide thought leadership and support to regional teams, identifying opportunities for data analytics and emerging technologies across projects driving client value.
Oversee the scoping, delivery and, where needed, lead on projects involving the application of data and technology within client projects, leveraging resources available from our data & technology global center of excellence.
Support business development activities, driving strategic growth in our business through the application of data and technology to our core business propositions.
Support regional teams building pipeline and GTM strategies for global technology-enabled propositions.
Work in collaboration with regional teams to drive revenue for service lines through application of data and technology.
Knowledge and experience
Demonstrated expertise across data analytics and emerging technology, and the application of these to drive business growth.
Demonstrated experience building client relationships and expanding business
7+ years in a relevant consulting environment delivering top quality engagements and exceeding client expectations.
5+ years in a risk or compliance role, preferably in an advisory capacity
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, ideally across multiple jurisdictions
Strong communication skills (fluency in English)
Experience working in a collaborative and team-oriented environment
Qualifications and specialist skills
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred, in a relevant field of study
Advanced knowledge and experience turning data outcomes into actionable intelligence
Familiarity with software and tools such as Tableau and Power BI
Ability to leverage technology to solve problems
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while effectively juggle competing demands and evolving priorities
Strong organizational and project management skills
Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and motivation to succeed
