Job Description

Have you always worked with tools and machines but never had the chance to use a CNC machine? Are you a detailed person that has a knack for following directions? Then we have a  CNC Operator position you should apply for! The right candidate will operate our cutter to cut Various patterns to supply parts for production departments to make our  World Winning Boats!  The schedule is Monday to Thursday. Overtime may be required at times based on the needs of the business. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must maintain the CNC cutter’s maintenance and uploads of new parts.
  • Organize the kit pieces by part number/boat and stack them onto shelves for the operators.
  • Inspects all parts after production to ensure that all parts are complete and up to quality standards. 
  • Will work under time constraints and a deadline-driven environment.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.

  • Must be able to perform tasks under time pressure deadlines.
  •  Must have strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.

Tools used in this occupation include but are not limited to:

  • Personal Protective Equipment- Safety Glasses
  • Hand Tools- scissors, screw gun, drill, etc.

Qualifications

Knowledge includes but is not limited to:

  • Must be able to use and maintain a vertical knife.
  • Must be able to identify different patterns.
  • Must be able to help unload supply trucks.
  •  Be able to read orders and identify parts that are needed to maintain the production schedule.
  • Be able to complete basic installations.
  •  Knowledge of production processes and quality control.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature. 
  • Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to climb into and out of the interior of boats. 
  • Must be able to wear proper safety equipment including a respirator when necessary. 
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary. 
  • This is a safety-sensitive position
