Job Description

Indmar Marine Engines is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the Service Parts department.  The Shipping Associate is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping orders efficiently and accurately.  This role ensures that all outgoing shipments meet quality standards and delivery deadlines while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

This full-time position offers a starting rate of $16.00 - 17.00/hour depending upon experience with a consistent daytime schedule.  Benefits include health insurance, paid holidays, paid time off and a retirement savings plan with a company match.  Punctuality and good attendance are crucial to success in this position.  Work hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.  Eligible for a $40.00 weekly attendance bonus.

Candidate must have a valid driver's license and own reliable transportation.  If selected, must complete pre-employment screeings which include a drug and background check.  Indmar is and equal opportunity employer.  Below is a complete list of job responsibilities and required skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for shipment according to company standards.  Ensure all orders are pulled correctly, packed securely, and labeled correctly for shipping.
  • Accurately input customer information and create shipping labels using Ship Hawk software.
  • Work closely with customer service and service parts team to resolve any shipping issues.
  • Prepare stocked parts "kits" in advance and ensure they are located in the proper slot location.
  • Safely operate foam packaging machine, pallet jack, forklift and other equipment as needed.
  • Keeps all work areas clean, neatly organized, and fully stocked with shipping supplies.
  • Keeps the warehouse floors clean/swept during and after each shift.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn shipping software.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work well with others and promote a team enviroment.
  • Must have good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Prior experience with packaging machines and forklift preferred.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years shipping experience, preferably in a warehouse setting.
  • Prior experience using a shipping computer program.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Warehouse environment

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.  Standing, lifting, bending, and moving heavy packages for extended periods.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT:

  • Gloves when using foam machine.

Additional Information

Salary:

  • $16.00 - 17.00 per hour depending upon experience

Experience level:

  • 2 years shipping experience, preferably in a warehouse setting.

Schedule:

  • This is a full-time position, the work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
